Vicki called me because she wanted portraits of her instructors and a fun photo for her holiday cards. I took my portable light studio to the Body Springs studio. We had a great time with different looks and ideas; Vicki had these hilarious reindeer horns that had me rolling on the floor. These are just a few of my favorites.

Victoria is a good friend and when she mentioned this spot under the 360 Bridge, also known as the Pennybacker Bridge, I suggested that we all go down for an impromptu family photo session. So we packed up the whole family and found this great spot where the bridge hangs so beautifully over the water. Jovy and her bridemaids got their hair and makeup done at Seventeen Spa in Dallas. Seventeen has a huge staff so they were able to do all the girl's hair at the same time and get them off to St. Thomas Aquinas church for the ceremony with perfect curls and updos. Stacy, the spa coordinator, was awesome. She even brought the girls snacks to calm their nervs.

We met Jovy and Ryan at St. Thomas Aquainas church for their rehearsal. This is a beautiful old church near downtown. When that organ is thumping, it's an amazing feeling. Deacon Ken runs a tight ship and kept everyone laughing while learning their parts. After the rehearsal, the Castaneda and Newsom families partied at Sambuca. They dinned on steak tenderloin and sipped mojitos. Ryan's father Gary put together a hilarious slide show of old photos of Jovy and Ryan from childhood through life to their engagement. The funniest photo had to be one of Ryan just after her was born where his private parts are prominently displayed.
